Solitaire Villa

Located near the quiet settlement of Solitaire, this retreat by PMA blends seamlessly into its rocky desert surroundings through the use of local stone, soft earth-toned plaster, and sculptural timber canopies inspired by desert flora. The architecture is fragmented to preserve the natural terrain, while large glass openings invite expansive views and a sense of immersion in the landscape. Central to the design are tree-like roof forms that provide shade, and echo the quiet drama of the Namibian desert, creating a retreat that is both grounded in place and elevated in experience.
